Charlie George has been walking his dogs twice a day in the decade since he moved into the Houston, Texas neighborhood. People look forward to chatting with the friendly guy.
Three years ago he was diagnosed with leukemia. That started to slow him down.
So his neighbours started “Chairs for Charlie”. A dozen homes put out comfortable chairs for him. Each had a sign: “Chairs for Charlie. Or for others in need of a rest.” Charlie is grateful for the love.
